Opal Countertop Nugget Ice Maker - First Build OPAL01A FOR PARTS OR NOT WORKING WILL SHIP IN FIRSTBUILD OPAL BOX. Turns on and runs but we believe the condenser a/o compressor is failing. Unit will make a very small amount of soft ice but no more. We used only distilled water so there isn't mineral buildup and you can see the water bin is very clean. ***NOTE we took apart to see what was going on inside. One of the screws in the top was stripped by the manifacturer, so we couldn't get the lid all the way off. It will rotate to the side so you can get the sides off and parts out, or you could probably cut the screw off with a dremel tool. And of course when we went to put everything back on we left a screw out - so that will be in a baggie inside the bin.*** Sides are in good shape, however one side has scratches where we had a magnet hook.
